Helmut Stockdreher is a seasoned editor and designer with multiple skills and a proven track record of completing projects beyond client expectations and within scope. He possesses strong storytelling skills, has a keen eye, and an inherent ability to work well under pressure.
A graduate of the University of Illinois/Chicago School of Art & Design in May 1994, Helmut began his career as a freelancer for Source Inc, where he refined conceptual packaging and branding designs into product rollout following established design guide standards. Some of the client presentations he worked on included Bissell, Coleman and Nestle.
Joining Capps Digital Studio/Leo Burnett as a full-time production artist in 1999, Mr. Stockdreher continued to hone his skills as a production designer working on tobacco advertising, direct mail, p.o.p. and branded merchandise catalogues. His involvement included working closely with the client from concept through keyline stages to ensure the highest quality of studio standards and proofing.
2004 brought him to 8 Ball Films/Test Tube Pictures as a freelance video editor and art director where he produced and edited interviews, bumpers, and DVD extras for record label promotional DVDs. Helmut's responsibilities also included designing and authoring interactive menus and multi-version DVD sets for retail chain distribution.
A year later, he co-founded Method Media Productions where he held the positions of Editor, Art Director, and Post-Production Supervisor. Helmut produced and edited video and motion graphics for numerous documentaries, commercials, corporate, cable and non-profit videos. Clients included Broadcast Ministers’ Alliance, Legacy Partners Marketing and LaSalle Bank.
